About the project

The BRIDGE project aims to enhance the Kyiv School of Economics' innovation capacity, focusing on research management and research-to-policy transfer on the topics of participatory and deliberative democracy.

The project will support Ukrainian hromadas in participatory decision-making for the reconstruction of housing and infrastructures, destroyed by the Russian war against Ukraine.

In so doing, BRIDGE addresses gaps in public administration by exploring the integration of representative and participatory democracy during crises, specifically by conducting a pilot citizens’ assembly around a recovery project on the local level and the study of the utilization of digital participatory tools, including an e-Idea module, for recovery planning.

The BRIDGE project will also set up a multi-level policy lab to ensure knowledge circulation between research and practice within Ukraine and between Ukraine and its EU partners.
