The recovery and transformation of Ukrainian cities call for new approaches and tools to enable data-driven decision-making. How can we make our cities more convenient, accessible, and open to citizens? From mobility solutions to enhanced participation tools – together we will shape new approaches!
What is the hackathon about?
- Data-driven services for analyzing urban barriers and proposing adaptations to the city environment
- Citizen science: engaging residents in data collection and verification
- Innovative tools for working with city petitions
- Platforms for citizen–government dialogue on urban recovery
Who is it for?
Students, researchers, IT specialists, urbanists, economists, and active citizens – everyone is ready to create solutions for rebuilding cities.

The Urban Data Hackathon: Code the City is organized jointly by the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Kyiv School of Economics within the framework of the BRIDGE project.
The BRIDGE project is implemented by Kyiv School of Economics (Ukraine), the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), the University of Tartu (Estonia), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), and the Center for Innovation Development (Ukraine), and is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program.
