Online discussion for Zhytomyr residents: share your opinion on the future of urban mobility!

11/10/2025

Zhytomyr City Council, in partnership with the BRIDGE project and the Kyiv School of Economics, is launching Polis — an online discussion platform where every resident can share their views on the development of transport infrastructure and sustainable mobility in our city.

👉 On Polis, you can:

  • Respond to the initial statements prepared by the organizers;
  • Next, share your own thoughts on transport issues like roads, bus lanes, bike paths, pedestrian streets, or parking.

For each statement, select “agree,” “disagree,” or “skip.” After voting, leave a comment if you wish. Then, view and vote on comments shared by other residents.

🔹 Very soon, a Public Assembly will take place in Zhytomyr, where 80 randomly selected residents will discuss sustainable mobility. But we want everyone to have a say — that’s why we’re launching this online discussion.

How should the city balance the interests of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers?

Is paid parking needed in the city center?

How can we tackle chaotic courtyard parking, dangerous intersections, and traffic violations?

Zhytomyr already has a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and a cycling concept, but many concrete decisions require public input and consensus.

📅 The discussion runs from October 9 to October 24.

📢 The results will be published online via City Council platforms and will inform the upcoming assembly debate.

Join the discussion and spread the word! Together we’re shaping the future of mobility in Zhytomyr 💬
